Bark Ranger: Earn the Dog Tag
April 20, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 10:45 am
Calling all dogs to become Bark Rangers! Does your dog want to proudly wear a Bark Ranger dog tag?
Bring your dog and join a ranger at the Parkway Visitor Center on April 20, 2019, 10 am to 10:45 am to learn about Ofi Tobi and how to have fun with a dog on the Natchez Trace Parkway. After a short talk, dogs will take their humans for a short walk. Unless the dog can use a pencil, the human will fill out a booklet so the pupper can receive an official Natchez Trace Parkway Bark Ranger dog tag.
All dogs must be friendly, under control and on a 6′ or shorter leash. When you arrive, no sniffing, please! Sorry, not even in that place to say hello… Please keep dogs away from each other. Dogs must be current on vaccinations. Insect repellent for humans and dogs is recommended.
Kids may participate as a Junior Ranger Day. If a family does not have a real dog, a stuffed, plush dog may earn a dog tag. Child/real-dog combos must be accompanied by an adult.
The Parkway Visitor Center is located at milepost 266 on the Natchez Trace Parkway, near Tupelo, Mississippi. For additional information, please call 1-800-305-7417.
