Trumpeter Ryan Anthony is the Principal Trumpet of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and former First Trumpet of the world-renowned Canadian Brass. He is also President of the Ryan Anthony Foundation and Artistic Director of CancerBlows, two organizations that raise awareness and funds for cancer research. The performance will feature Jim Stephenson’s Concerto for Hope, written to chronicle trumpeter Ryan Anthony’s heroic fight with multiple myeloma. NMSO Principal Trumpet John Schuesselin will perform a Vivaldi Concerto with Mr. Anthony, and the orchestra plays the ebullient and radiant Symphony No. 8 of Dvorak.
