“…somewhere between New Orleans zest and Tennessee cool, riding that line into a new blend of Americana to titillate…”
– PopMatters
“Brilliant… a beautiful tapestry weaved from thought-provoking messages and Wilburn’s honest soul.” – No Depression
Ever More Nest is bringing its atmospheric, driving alt-country to Tennessee Brew Works. Fans of Gregory Alan Isakov & Brandi Carlile will love this band’s unique approach to Americana. Ever More Nest pairs Kelcy Mae’s signature poetic lyricism with a musical style that can set you simultaneously on a rural dirt road and a gritty, big-city street. The project’s debut album, The Place That You Call Home was just nominated for Best Alt-Country Album in the 2019 Independent Music Awards. It centers on the idea of place, from the fallen trees of “North Mississippi” to the infinite stars of “Major Tom.”
Produced by 2018 Grammy-nominated producer Neilson Hubbard (Mary Gauthier), the album accentuates the best of Kelcy’s emotive, authentic voice, delicate yet driving guitar work, and honest, observational songwriting that poses the universal question: “Just where do I belong?” According to Folk Radio UK, “The answer is clearly in any discerning Americana CD collection.”
The band is currently touring the US with notable stops at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage in DC and the Emerging Artists Series Stage at Summerfest in Milwaukee.
