Learn from the legends
Robert Sr., David Jr., and Kent Kimbrough, as well as Mr. Joe Ayers are available for guitar, bass and drum instruction. Lil’ Joe was Junior Kimbrough’s guitarist and then later bass player for 30 years. Joe appears on the High Water Lp Do The ROMP, and seen in the film Deep Blues. This is incredible opportunity for anyone to learn the secrets of Cotton Patch Soul Blues, not just schooled musicians.

All day Cotton Patch Soul Blues Guitar Workshop
Robert Kimbrough Sr. teaches bass guitar, David Jr. shares his fathers guitar style and his own. Kent will give drum instruction. Mr. Joe Ayers shares his approach to Cotton Patch Blues finger picking, and the “ thumb” technique.
Duwayne Burnside will also be available to teach.

#1 Juke Joint Dancer Ms. Sherena Boyce, daughter of Mississippi Blues legend RL Boyce, like most players she too was a regular at Junior’s Chulahoma club. Sherena demonstrates subtle suggestive dance moves, and advises students how to develop their own
“ STYLE ”.

GraceLand Too is an infamous home located near the Square in Holly Springs
fashioned in the style of its namesake Mississippi’s first son, the King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presely’s home Graceland. Created and operated for decades by lifelong Holly Springs resident Paul MacLeod, until his untimely sudden death in 2014. Paul was a character who’s love for Elvis showed in his spectacular recreation of his idol’s home. The house was sold at auction, and the present owner committed to a restoration project fit for the KING.
Marie (his latest flame) is available for tours.

Mt. Zion Memorial Fund Blues Hill Region Gravesite Tour
The Hut
Mt. Zion Memorial Fund maintains historical records, headstones, and grave sites of American Blues Musicians. T. Dwayne Moore leads folks around the region to obscure graves of Guy Monroe, Eli Green, Wilbur Lee Rileford, as well as the big stars like Fred McDowell, Jessie Mae Hemphill, RL Burnside, Otha Turner, and more.

Saturday Night Jam with the Legends
The Hut
Students are invited up to jam with the legends. Saturday’s workshop students flex their new skills in an unfiltered juke joint atmosphere with the Kimbroughs. Students jam alongside the Originals, and well as other great players like One Hand Dan, Jessie Cotton Stone, Malcolm Lightnin’, Memphis Gold, Janky and The Juke Joint Boys, Cameron Kimbrough.

Kimbrough Cotton Patch Soul Blues Guided Memorial Tour
Meet up at The Hut

Catch up with Lil’ Joe, cause who better to escort one to a number of local spots pertinent to Junior Kimbrough’s life. Joe will share with you vivid memories of late night parties and other historical tasty bits about his life as a Mississippi Soul Blues Boy. Visit the location of Junior’s Marianna Rd. home, Sammie’s Chewalla Rib Shack, Chulahoma Club location, Blues Marker on the Square and Junior’s Grave. An astounding opportunity for any history buff or of blues fan.

The Recreation of Juniors Juke Joint

The grand finale, the recreation of Sunday Night at Junior’s Place. Junior Kimbrough’s world famous juke joint was located on Rt. 4 in Chulahoma. Packed out every Sunday for over a decade, kicking off late afternoon and continue into late evening hours, peoples from all over the planet trekked out to Junior’s for raw, unfiltered live electric Cotton Patch Soul Blues.
