Pappi’s Garage May 2019 Cruise-in

Cruise-in season started off with a bang! Not only did we manage to raise over $2800 for the Regional Rehab Center, but there were close to 200 classic cars and hot rods in attendance. I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to see what the next cruise-in is going to bring!
Friday, May 31st from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Pappi’s Garage, located @ 209 Commerce St. in beautiful historic downtown Tupelo, Mississippi, will be hosting its monthly cruise-in!
Registration is $20 for each registered vehicle, and there will be a minimum of $1,000 cash prizes for registered classic cars and hot rods!
The main driving motivator to hosting these monthly cruise-in’s is to help raise awareness and contributions for local charities – all while enjoying great company, fellowship, and great cars! This month, Pappi’s Garage has chosen the Tupelo-Lee Humane Society as its benefit charity
If you are not already aware of the wonderful work these guys do, below is a little information. Please help spread the word and make sure to come out and spend the evening Friday, May 31st helping benefit this great charity.
About Us
The Tupelo-Lee Humane Society (TLHS) was founded in December 1979 to bring more attention to companion animal overpopulation and to replace the local “pound” with a true animal shelter. Both goals were accomplished.
TLHS is a privately run non-profit organization (501(c)3), but we do currently contract with and receive funding from the City of Tupelo and with Lee County. However, TLHS primarily relies on funding from donations and fundraisers to help house, feed, and care for the 6,000 animals per year who enter the shelter. We are a dedicated team of trained staff and volunteers that strive to provide a temporary home for the abused, neglected, lost, or abandoned and unwanted animals.
Our mission is to:
* Promote humane treatment
* Prevent cruelty
* Provide education
* Eliminate pet over-population
Our Values:
* Adopt animals into permanent, responsible homes
* Promote spay and neuter practices
* Assist law enforcement in cases of abuse, cruelty, or neglect
* Raise awareness in the community about animal welfare
* Serve our community as a resource for education
* Encourage our community to make a difference by volunteering
* Partner with rescues to distribute the surplus of animals from this area
* Be an advocate for the safety, health, and well being of all animals
Remember on May 31st, the last Friday in May, to load up family and friends and cruise on down to Pappi’s Garage to continue enjoying the cruise-in season and for a fun-filled evening of fellowship and friendship among fellow auto enthusiast.
