Summer Reading Presents The Poetry Man, Autry Davis
July 24, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
The Corinth Library will host the “Poetry Man” and local storyteller Autry Davis as he entertains children with interactive and engaging stories and poems. Mr. Davis has been a long-time storyteller in the Corinth area, as well as a founding member of the Crossroads Poetry Project.
The Corinth Library is ready to share “A Universe of Stories” this summer as part of its annual Summer Reading Program. The program has two components: a reading challenge and a series of events. The reading challenge is ongoing throughout the entire summer, during which children of all ages may participate. They must pick up their Summer Reading Logs from the library; these will allow them to keep track of how many books they will read over the summer break. Prizes will be given to those who challenge themselves to read this summer.
All ages are welcome to participate in both the reading challenge and the scheduled events. For those who are not ready to read, we also have activities that can be completed that encourage imagination and listening skills.
