The Rundown 3/13/2020

Good morning, Tupelo and beyond! Today is Friday the 13th! It’s also the 73rd day of 2020 and the last weekday of Spring Break 2020. What a week it’s been! Unless you’ve been living under a rock you already know the Coronavirus hit the US hard this week as major festivals like South by Southwest and just about any other event across the country that would draw a large crowd were canceled as items like hand sanitizer and toilet paper disappeared from the shelves of major retailers practically overnight. The panic over Covid-19 sent the stock market into a freefall where it remains as I write this. Needless to say, this week has been a doozy and I’m certain we’re all especially thankful it’s finally Friday, even if it is Friday the 13th. Speaking of Friday the 13th (again), here’s your #FreakyFriday quote of the day.

Superstition is foolish, childish, primitive, and irrational-but how much does it cost you to knock on wood?

Judith Viorst

Check back each day for a new quote to help get you through your day. Now, onto other news and happenings.

We’re now just 6 days away from the first day of spring! Today’s pollen count drops to a low of 1.2, great news for my fellow allergy sufferers who have been struggling with symptoms this week.
