Weather Outlook

This is definitely the season you have to dress for 2 to 3 seasons a day. It is cold in the morning, heats up throughout the day, then cools off for the evening. Let us check our local WTVA – The Weather Authority forecast for the day:
We begin our Thursday with mostly clear skies and mild temperatures. Most of us will be in the lower to mid-40s when you head out the door. But by the time the sun comes up, temperatures will quickly climb through the day. Expect abundant sunshien to stay with us from start to finish today. We’ll climb into the mid and upper 70s. No rainfall is anticipated. We remain mostly clear overnight Thursday into Friday as well. This will allow temperatures to slip into the upper 40s to lower 50s by Friday morning.

National Weed Appreciation Day! This is not exactly what one would assume. This is a day set aside to remember the cultivation, harvest, and consumption of the flowering plant cannabis.
National Something on a Stick Day! I can think of many things on a stick I like. From popsicles to chicken-on-the-stick, I can definitely indulge today! Go out and enjoy a corndog or pancake on a stick. What do you like on a stick? Fruit? Meat? Dessert?
National Black Forrest Cake Day! If these days were mandatory, I would be o so fat! Maybe, I just like too many things…. Black Forrest Cake is a German dessert. It consists of several layers of chocolate sponge cake, with whipped cream and cherries stuffed in each layer. It is topped and decorated with maraschino cherries, whipped cream, and chocolate shavings? Do you have a recipe for this?
National Nutrition Month! What have you done this month to watch and maintain your nutrition? The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is over the education and information campaign. The campaign focuses on the importance of making healthy food choices, developing healthy eating habits, and creating physical activity habits? A good day to replace that black forrest cake with an apple, the chicken on stick with grilled chicken salad, and take a walk!
