The Rundown June 8th

0

Good rainy Saturday folks! Good morning! Still a lot of fun things to do with the Elvis Festival! Welcome to The Rundown , sponsored by Sprout Insurance.

First your weather, as told by the experts as WTVA – The Weather Authority. Scattered storms pose a continued flash flood threat INTO THE WEEKEND WITH MORE STRONG STORMS, EXCESSIVE RAIN Into the day Saturday, we basically repeat Friday’s forecast. But perhaps the severe threat will be a bit less. Additional rainfall totals from Friday morning to Saturday night should range from a half inch to 2 inches. A few isolated areas could see 3 to 4 inches.

GRADUALLY DRYING OUT INTO SUNDAY & MONDAY While storms are still in the forecast for Sunday and Monday. They should be less widespread and may produce less in the way of heavy rainfall. Clouds should still be abundant, keeping temperatures closer to the lower 80s. Then drier air moves in, cutting off the rain chances completely by Monday evening.

DRIER & LESS HUMID NEXT WEEK With this drier air will come much more pleasant conditions. And yes, that means perhaps lower humidity with the sunshine. So even as the sunshine returns, we may not heat up quite as much as we would on most June afternoons. Tuesday afternoon highs may be in the lower 80s, despite abundant sunshine. A few spotty showers pass through Tuesday perhaps. But this is with a secondary push of more cool, dry air for Thursday. Highs will still likely be in the lower 80s, though. Lows may be as low as the lower 60s.
