Weather Outlook

Starting off with a calm morning. Still wet out there and under flood warnings. Here’s a look at the WTVA – The Weather Authority forecast for the day:

More rainfall patches for our weekend, some still could be on the heavy side. A frontal system continues to linger in our area over the next couple of days. This will keep chances for some showers and thunderstorms in our forecast through our Sunday morning. Some of the rainfall will continue to be on the heavy side. A few of the thunderstorms will see some strong and gusty winds associated with them. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out of the question on our Saturday and into our Saturday evening. High pressure will move into our area as we go through our Sunday evening and into next week. This will bring back to our area some more dry and tranquil weather fore at least a few days.

Saturday A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 10am and 1pm, then showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. High near 74. East northeast wind around 5 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday Night A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am. Cloudy, with a low around 63. Southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
