Weather Outlook

WTVA – The Weather Authority keeps us informed as we take a look at their forecast for the day:

More rainfall patches for our weekend, some still could be on the heavy side A frontal system continues to linger in our area for the next 12 to 24 hours.  This will keep chances for some showers and thunderstorms in our forecast through our Sunday morning. At times, rainfall could be on the heavy side.  A few of the thunderstorms will be capable of producing strong and gusty. As Monday nears, high pressure will build into our area as we go through Sunday evening and into next week.  This will bring back some more dry and tranquil weather for the first half of next week. Overall, the extended forecast features more scattered and much more limited chances for rainfall than what has been observed this previous week. 

Sunday  A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1pm, then a slight chance of showers.  Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74.  West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.  Chance of precipitation is 50 percent.  New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunday Night  Partly cloudy, with a low around 54.  Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
