National Cordon Bleu Day! A savory roulade dish made with chicken (or veal), ham and Swiss cheese, breaded, then pan-fried. One of my many favorite dishes. Think I will hop over to @arbys and give @shirley montes a visit. They have the meat!

World Day for Mine Awareness & Assistance in Mine Action! On December 8, 2005, The United Nations General Assembly declared this day, each year, shall be observed. It called for continued efforts by States, with the assistance of the United Nations and relevant organizations, to foster the establishment and development of national mine-action capacities. This is in countries where mines and explosive remnants of war constitute a serious threat to the safety, health, and the lives of the civilian population, or an impediment to social and economic development. Visit UN.org for more information.

National Walk Around Things Day! A day believed to be for superstitious or safety conscious people to remind us to avoid walking under ladders, for example. What is a superstition you have? What do yo avoid?

National Hug a Newsperson Day! Celebrate your favorite newspaper reporter, TV anchor, photojournalist, editor, or radio personality. I am sure @wtva news and @daily journal have several that need a hug. Tag OurTupelo when you get that hug! There are local newspersons and photojournalists here at OurTupelo, but I will save them a tag!

National School Librarian Month! The American Association of School Librarians’ reserves this day to celebrate school librarians and their programs. In 1985, this was first celebrated. School librarians are encouraged to create activities to help their school and local community understand the essential role that strong school library programs play in a student’s education career.
